Welcome

Hello, and welcome to ChristianFinance.com!

I am a Christian, and have been for most of my life.  Over the years, I've managed to earn a degree in finance and accounting, and am also a CPA.  For quite some time, I have felt the desire to share my thoughts on finance from a distinctly Christian perspective, and am finally at a place in life that allows me to devote some time and attention to doing just that.

The economic times we are currently experiencing are interesting indeed.  Whenever one watches the news, contributes to a retirement account, or even just talks to friends, there is a constant underlying tone of fear and doubt.  Is this feeling coming from God?  Of course not!  He promises to never leave us or forsake us, and that is one truth we can always hold close to our hearts.

While everything may not be perfect in your life right now (is it ever?), there are things that we can all be thankful for.  Think about that for a moment.... you are breathing right now... you have technology available that lets you read this (and don’t forget the fact that you can read).  Just with these small things, you have been put into a position that can help you grow, improve, and find purpose.  

And that is my mission with this blog.  I want to see you grow in your knowledge about finance and how it affects us as Christians.  I want you to be able to improve your situation--no matter where you may be in life right now.  And finally, I want you to be able to find the purpose that God has destined for you. How can this happen?  I hope that by educating and improving your knowledge of the financial aspect of your life that you will then be able to focus on the things that God is leading you to.

From my perspective, I believe my purpose is to be here sharing these words with you right now.  So welcome to the journey.  It will be a bumpy ride at times, but in the end, always remember where all of our treasures are stored.
